Restoring the Tiger Moth's Horizontal Stabilizer

John McNarry and Harvey McKinnon were concerned about the internal structure in the stabilizer so we removed the fabric and inspected it.

Ted Hector and John McNarry with the Horizontal Stabilizer. It has a laminated leading edge.

Rick, Nancy and Jan stripping paint of  the stabilizer.

George Inman, Marisa Selman and Rick Riewe stripped the paint off leaving the identification plates and hand written serial numbers.

Marissa and Jill finishing off the preparation for final inspection and covering.

Serial numbers, identificationi systems and identity plates were photographed and left in tact.

Once the tail feather was clean, missing gussets Marissa replaced them using T88 glue.
Then the first coat of Epoxy Varnish was brushed on.
