Andy Gobeil Paints the 1st Coat of Yellow!

Andy Gobeil, Calm Air, donated his painting skills to the Brandon Commonwealth Air Museum today. The Tiger Moth wings and tail are now matching the fuselage!! Here Andy is beginning to apply the first coat - Garfield Oakman's hangar was transformed into a paint booth.

Andy Gobeil starting on the inspection covers.

Watching Andy paint was like watching an artist at work - Harvey McKinnon helped move the lights around to avoid shadows.

The scalloped leading edges are now yellow!
We used Endura with a flex agent added from Chase. The first two coats used almost a gallon of paint and hardener so we headed back to Chase on Border St to get another gallon. They matched it perfectly!
