One of the upper wings and both ailerons were ready for Poly Spray (Silver) - Henry Riege taught Maurice April a few application tricks. While Jill ironed down some of the pinked edges of the tapes...Henry recommended we do this before we added the Poly Spray and did it ever work out well!

Once one of the upper wings was ready, Maurice brushed on some Poly Spray.

Meanwhile, Rick Riewe sanded rough spots off the lower left wing.

Rick adding another coat of Poly Brush to the lower right wing with Dennis Kowalyshyn watching...and soon helping!

Henry Riege asked Doug Render to give him a hand cutting inspection cover doilies, and then the two old friends had fun ribbing each other doing 'women's work'.

Doug Render applying doilies with Poly Brush; Rick Riewe giving tapes a 2nd coat; Henry Riege making sure the doilies went on centred and flat.
Henry Riege completing the trailing edge ribbons - he helped us make sure there were no bubbles by clamping them on each side of the raised ribs.

George Inman, nearly finished painting Poly Spray on the upper wing while Henry does the finishing touches on the lower left wing.

George brushing on Poly Spray while Doug Render helps flip a wing with Henry.

George completes another wing - only two left to paint tomorrow morning. The fuselage might arrive in the afternoon. If you know of anyone who is able to spray on the last 2 coats of silver and two coats of yellow, please let us know. If you haven't been able to volunteer, feel free to celebrate the Brandon CATP Museum role commemorating the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan in Canada, feel free to donate funds to help with this exciting restoration project,

Register for the Tiger Moth Ground School tentatively scheduled for June 14th by emailing jill_oakes@umanitoba.ca!!
