The Fuselage is arriving from Brandon CATP Museum today. Over 50 volunteers from the Brandon and Winnipeg RAA and Springfield Flying Club have provided the work space, materials, time and energy needed to completely restore this antique bi-plane used in the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan. Funds are needed to pay for the yellow paint to finish the Tiger Moth wings! The Brandon Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum - Canada's National Historic site - commemorates the important role Canada played in training over 200,000 airmen...including 3 flying antiques, plus a soon-to-be-completed 4th - the Tiger Moth!
If you're unable to donate time, energy, materials or space to paint the Tiger Moth, The Tiger Moth Restoration Team would gratefully receive your donation of money to help pay for the paint. The Brandon CATP Museum will provide tax deductible receipts for all donations - including time in a paint booth! Once funds are available, the Poly-Tone paint will be purchased from Goulet Aircraft Supply Ltd. Please contact jill_oakes@umanitoba.ca to make your tax deductible donation for the Tiger Moth Restoration Project. Thank you for helping us all "Keep Em Flying"!!!
